Historical Fantasy Anime 'Moribito' Premieres on Adult Swim

New to Saturday night's here at the end of August 2008 is another new series premiere for Adult Swim, the evening and early morning programming block dedicated to animation and live-action for adult audiences. Frequently catering to anime fans at odd hours of the morning if not exclusively through Saturday nights, Adult Swim has lined up the historical fantasy Japanese television animation Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit for its stateside premiere. The anime Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit begins with the legend that a spiritual element was planted, for nurturing, within the body of a young man. The legend, which is said to occur roughly once every century or so, appears to have come around again, as the young prince of the imperial kingdom has been chosen to serve as the body and temple of this egg so-called. OS: Amerikaanse dames wel naar 4x400 finale

De Amerikaanse dames hebben vrijdag, in tegenstelling tot het 4x100 meter estafetteteam, wel de Olympische finale gehaald van de 4x400 meter. De Amerikaanse ploeg heeft iets recht te zetten na de blamage van de andere estafetteteams. Donderdag ging het faliekant mis toen zowel de mannen als de vrouwen tijdens de 4x100 meter series hun stokje lieten vallen bij een wissel. De Amerikaanse sprintploeg stelt in Peking sowieso teleur. Alleen op de 400 meter bij de mannen werd een gouden plak veroverd door LaShawn Meritt, waar Amerika op de sprintnummers in het verleden grossierde in gouden medailles.

New breed of fresh fish from local farm

The farm's owner Ms Rosemary Lau (above) said the fish is not only tasty but will make a popular choice for fish farmers. DINERS in Singapore can soon try out a new breed of locally-farmed fish. Cobia, a long slim marine fish found in the region, is being harvested for the first time by a fish farm here for local consumption. The oily white-fleshed fish, with brownish grey back and silvery stripes on its side, is 'less fishy' in taste than the popular snakehead. Currently, the fish is flown in frozen from Vietnam, and sold at about $45 per kg in supermarkets, according to the Agri-food and Veterinary Authority. The fish was first cultured in 2005 by the AVA's Marine Aquaculture Centre on St John's Island, and sold cheaply to Changi Fishery last year. The farm's owner Ms Rosemary Lau said the fish is not only tasty but will make a popular choice for fish farmers. It grows very fast, reaching full size within eight months and all the neighbouring fish farms are excited,' she said....
